“Captain America: The Last Avenger” opened in the Philippines at no. 1 with a 5 days box-office gross of P88.45 million.
“Captain America” captured one of the biggest opening in the Philippines for this year for raking in P88.45 million for the period of July 27 to 31, 2011.
After ruling the local box-office for two consecutive weeks, “Harry Potter” settled for second place followed by “Transformers 3″ in third place.
Local movies “The Adventures of Pureza: Queen of the Riles” (on its 3rd week) and “Temptation Island” (on its 4th week) captured 4th and 6th places respectively.
